...FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of central North
Carolina, including the following areas, Harnett, Lee and Montgomery.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including Moore
  county.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 528 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Whispering Pines,
    Robbins, Taylortown, Vass, Cameron, Seven Lakes and Eagle
    Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
