...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN ORANGE...SOUTHWESTERN
DURHAM AND NORTHEASTERN CHATHAM COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM EDT...

At 523 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles southwest of Carrboro, or 10 miles southwest of Chapel Hill,
moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Durham, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Jordan Lake, Bynum, Crosswinds
Campground, Fearrington, Cane Creek Reservoir, and Crosswinds Boating
Center.
