...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN EDGECOMBE AND
EASTERN WILSON COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM EDT...

At 1145 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Wilson, or 18 miles west of Farmville, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Tarboro, Wilson, Elm City, Princeville, Pinetops, Black Creek,
Macclesfield, Saratoga, and Willbanks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT for
portions of central North Carolina.
