...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SCOTLAND...ANSON
AND RICHMOND COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Wadesboro, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rockingham, Wadesboro, Hamlet, Polkton, Ellerbe, Dobbins Heights,
Lilesville, Morven, Peachland, and McFarlan.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
