...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN NASH...WESTERN
EDGECOMBE AND NORTHEASTERN WILSON COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM EDT...

At 439 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Nashville, moving southeast at 15 mph. This storm was over I-95 near
Dortches.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Nashville, Elm City, Dortches, Red Oak,
Sharpsburg, Pinetops, Macclesfield, and Leggett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways. Slow down and use caution while driving to avoid
hydroplaning.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
