...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CALHOUN...RITCHIE...WESTERN
GILMER...WIRT...NORTHERN ROANE AND EASTERN JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH
430 AM EDT...

At 359 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sandyville to 8 miles southwest of
Spencer. Movement was east at 65 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ripley, Spencer, Harrisville, Glenville, Elizabeth, Grantsville,
Pennsboro, Sandyville, North Bend State Park, Arnoldsburg, Cedar
Creek State Park, Cairo, Reedy, Pullman, Auburn, Shock, Millstone,
Statts Mills, Cherry, and Smithville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 139 and 148.
 Route 50 in West Virginia near mile marker 40.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
