FOR NORTHWESTERN ROANOKE ...THE CITY OF SALEM AND THE WESTERN CITY
OF ROANOKE...

At 454 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Glenvar, or
near Catawba, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Catawba...
Glenvar...
Bradshaw...
Cave Spring...
and Hollins.

This includes The following Locations The Salem Fairgrounds and
Roanoke Regional Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. For your
safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Stay away from windows.
