AND THE CITY OF GALAX IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
north central and northwestern North Carolina...and south central,
southwestern and west central Virginia. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch
also remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for south central Virginia.

At 632 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Floyd to 6 miles east of Ararat to Cana, moving
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
