An upper level trough over the western U.S. today into Saturday with
several shortwaves/lows moving through the Pac NW. One low moves

NV tonight into Wednesday night. Max temperatures generally near
normal to 10 degrees below normal over CA and below normal to around
15 degrees over NV this afternoon cooling to 5 to 15 degrees below
normal along far NW CA coast and Srn OR and far Nrn NV on Wednesday
and near normal to 10 degrees below elsewhere. Weak disturbances
move through Nrn and Central CA Thursday for possible isolated
showers and thunderstorms over central/Srn Sierra. Temperatures
generally cool to near normal to 10 degrees below normal Thursday. A
weaker shortwave trough moves through Central/Srn Ca and Srn NV on
Friday for a chance of isolated to scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms over the Central/Srn Sierra and over NV. Max
temperatures cool to 10 to 20 degrees below normal over the Central
and Srn CA coast Friday afternoon. Another low moves through the Pac
NW Saturday bringing a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms
near the ORCA border and Nrn NV. Max temps generally cool to below
normal up to around 20 degrees on Saturday. Weak ridging over the
region Sunday into Monday with warmer temperatures and mainly dry
conditions. Max temperatures warm up to near normal to 10 degrees
above normal for most of NV and Srn OR and interior CA with below
normal temps up to around 10 degrees below normal over the CA coast.
