...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE
OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN NEAR ORCA BORDER AND ALONG THE SIERRA AND
OVER NRN AND ERN NV TODAY AND MAINLY OVER ERN NV WEDNESDAY AS A
SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH THE NORTH...

...GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS THURSDAY INTO THE WEEKEND...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (TUE AM - MON AM)...

Upper level shortwave trough along the B.C. coast down to the Nrn CA
coast this morning will progress inland today and into the Great
Basin Wednesday. This will bring some instability and some moisture
over the area for a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms
over the crest of the Srn OR Cascades and Mt Shasta area and NE CA
Plateau and down along the Sierra (mainly Central and Srn Sierra)
and over into Northern and Eastern NV today. Precipitation amounts
generally expected to be less than a tenth of an inch. Showers
possible mainly over eastern NV Wednesday as the systems continues
to move east. Max temperatures near normal to 10 degrees above
normal except below normal up to 10 degrees along the coast (with
marine influence). Overnight temperatures generally near normal to
around 10 degrees above normal (especially over SE CA and NV). Weak
ridging over the eastern Pacific between systems with weak
disturbances moving through Thursday and Friday for generally dry
conditions (slight chance of isolated showers/tstorms along
Central/Srn Sierra) and warmer temperatures. Max temps warm up to
near normal to 15 degrees above normal Thursday and Friday.
Overnight temperatures warming up to 15 degrees above normal
Thursday night and Friday night. Weak shortwave trough moves through
the region over the weekend increasing onshore flow. Max temps then
cool down to near normal to 10 degrees above normal except below
normal up to 10 degrees along the coast over the weekend. Overnight
temperatures generally near normal to around 10 degrees above
normal. Heights rise over the region early-mid week next week
warming high temperatures up to 10 to 20 degrees above normal and
near normal along the coast.
