FROM OCCASIONAL LIGHT SHOWERS ALONG THE NRN CA/NV BORDERS AS

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (MON AM - SUN AM)...

An upper trough is currently stretched across the western US from MT
through se CA and out to sea. An upper ridge is offshore just west
of this trough over the eastern Pacific. The overhead trough will
swing through the region the rest of today resulting in continued
near to below normal temperatures and light scattered showers over
the central/southern Sierra and eastern NV. Isolated thunderstorms
over parts of NV possible as the axis of the trough passes this
afternoon/evening. No widespread organized precip is expected this
week, but near to below normal temperatures will persist along with
occasional chances of light showers as a series of disturbances move
through the PacNW clipping the northern regional border. These
systems will keep the offshore ridge at bay the rest of the week
before it begins to shift over the west coast on Sunday.

Freezing levels generally 9-12.5 kft this week occasionally dipping
down to 5-8 kft over nrn CA/NV as systems pass to the north. QPF
over the 6 day period should generally be 0.10" or less with locally
higher amounts possible under any thunderstorms.
