Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast
National Weather Service Seattle WA
417 AM PDT Tue Jun 4 2024

.SYNOPSIS...The next frontal system associated with the atmospheric
river event will continue to move across the region this morning,
bringing another round of precipitation and strong winds to Mount
Rainier National Park. Showers will continue in its wake, but
will taper tonight into Wednesday. Drier and warmer conditions are
expected the second half of the week as upper level ridging builds
across the region. A weak trough moving across the area may bring
some showers to the park Sunday and Monday.

&&

.IMPACTS...Strong winds at and above 10,000 feet will make it
difficult to move safely and could produce local whiteout
conditions. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these conditions.

&&
