Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast
National Weather Service Seattle WA
307 PM PDT Fri May 24 2024

.SYNOPSIS...Cooler and unsettled conditions return today and will
persist into Saturday at Mount Rainier National Park as an upper
level trough moves across the region. Upper level ridging then
looks to build into the Interior West early next week, however
troughing over the northeastern Pacific will continue and will
bring additional chances of precipitation across the region at
times, especially at the park.

&&

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit on Saturday and Saturday
night will make it difficult to move safely and could produce
local whiteout conditions. A high level of skill and experience in
alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for
navigation and camping in these conditions.

&&

evening, then a chance of rain and snow after midnight. Little or

decreasing to 5000 feet after midnight.
