Mount Rainier Recreational Forecast

.SYNOPSIS...Cooler and unsettled conditions will continue through
the weekend at Mount Rainier National Park as an upper level
trough moves across the region. Multiple systems will continue to
move through the area into the first half of next week and will
bring additional chances of precipitation across the region at
times, especially at the park.

.IMPACTS...Strong winds near the summit will make it difficult to
move safely and could produce local whiteout conditions Saturday
through Monday. A high level of skill and experience in alpine
terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and
camping in these conditions.

.SATURDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain and snow in the
evening, then a slight chance of rain and snow after midnight.
Snow level near 4500 feet.
.SUNDAY...Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain and snow in the
morning, then a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Snow
level near 5500 feet increasing to 6500 feet in the afternoon.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain and snow
in the evening. No snow accumulation near Paradise. Snow level
near 7000 feet.
.MEMORIAL DAY...Partly sunny. Freezing level near 10000 feet.
