The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Barry County in southwestern Missouri...
  McDonald County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1115 PM CDT Sunday.

* At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cassville, Pineville, Anderson, Noel, South West City, Seligman,
  Exeter, Washburn, Lanagan, Shell Knob, Butterfield, Golden,
  Emerald Beach, Eagle Rock, Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Ridgley,
  Wayne, Powell, Mcdowell, Jenkins, Table Rock Lake, Roaring River
  State Park and Big Sugar Creek State Park.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  Flat Creek at Highway C, Flat Creek at Highway U, Butler Creek at
  Kings Highway, Rockhouse Creek at Farm Road 2145, Little Sugar
  Creek at Skaggs Hollow Road, Big Sugar Creek at Buzzard Glory Road
  and Bentonville Hollow at Highway E.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
