NWS Storm Survey concluded that a low end
EF-3 tornado with peak wind speeds near 140
mph started 7 miles west northwest of
Mountain View and travelled east for a
little over 6 miles before lifting about 1
mile northeast of Mountain View. This storm
severely damaged three homes and completely
destroyed a manufactured home. Multiple
outbuildings were also heavily damaged or
destroyed. The tornado also uprooted or
snapped numerous trees.
