...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN RUSK...NORTH
CENTRAL NACOGDOCHES AND NORTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES THROUGH NOON
CDT...

At 1136 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ponta, or 7 miles southeast of Jacksonville, moving southeast at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, Sacul, New Salem, Ponta, New Summerfield, Cushing,
Appleby, Mount Enterprise, Gallatin, Reklaw, and Glenfawn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 PM CDT for
eastern and northeastern Texas.
