The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Brown County in west central Texas...
  Coleman County in west central Texas...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 351 PM CDT Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area, from Coleman to Santa Anna to
  Bangs to Brownwood. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 3 inches are possible in the
  warned area. This includes the cities of Brownwood and Coleman.
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Brownwood, Coleman, Early, Santa Anna, Bangs, Blanket, Lake
  Brownwood Near Thrifty, Lake Brownwood, Grosvenor, Lake Brownwood
  State Park, Byrds, Burkett, Trickham, Cross Cut, Brookesmith, Camp
  Bowie, May, Valera, Silver Valley and Zephyr.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Indian Creek at 9th, Austin Street at Avenue G, Good Shephard at
11th, Gifford at Beaver, Willis at Belmeade, Magnolia at Belmeade,
Belle Plain at Romines, Cordell at Anderson, 4th Street at Wood and
Austin Street at Avenue J.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
