And now, here`s your Regional Weather Summary, for West Central
Texas.

Skies were partly to mostly cloudy over the southeastern half of
the area early this morning, and mostly clear over the
northwestern half. Temperatures at 5 AM were warm for the time of
day, and ranged from 72 degrees at Sterling City, to 84 at
Junction.

Now, here`s a quick forecast summary, for West Central Texas.

A weak cold front will move south across the northern half of the
area today. Thunderstorms are expected to develop near and south
of this front, and some of the storms could be severe. The main
severe weather threat will be this afternoon and evening, with a
possibility of large to very large hail, damaging winds, and a few
tornadoes. Highs today will range from the lower 80s in the
northern Big Country, to near 100 degrees along the Interstate 10
corridor. With the hot temperatures combined with humid
conditions, there is a risk for heat-related illnesses for anyone
working or exercising outside.

On Thursday, Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are
possible across the area mainly east of a Haskell to Ballinger to
Mason line. High temperatures on Thursday are expected to range
from the upper 80 and lower 90s in eastern parts of our area, to
the upper 90s in much of the Concho Valley and Northern Edwards
Plateau, where a dryline will move through through and skies will
be mostly sunny.
