Late this morning, skies were mostly sunny to partly cloudy. The winds were south to southwest at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph. Temperatures were in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Now, here`s a quick forecast summary, for West Central Texas. A weak cold front will move south across much of the northern half of the area today. The area east of a Richland Springs to Mason line will have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and early evening. Highs today are expected to range from the upper 80s and lower 90s in the Big Country, to the upper 90s to 102 degrees in the Concho Valley and southern parts of our area. Hot temperatures will prevail over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, with mostly dry conditions. $$
