...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE MONA PASSAGE...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal Waters OF Northwestern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...
  Mona Passage Southward to 17N...

At 644 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located
over the Mona Passage or 10 nautical miles west of Rincon, moving
west at 15 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
