998 FNUS75 KSLC 171017 SMFSLC Smoke Management Forecast National Weather Service Salt Lake City Utah 255 AM MDT Fri May 17 2024......Cheng .DISCUSSION...Mixing conditions will see a roller-coaster trend in some areas through Monday, as a series of weather disturbances cross the area. Excellent mixing is expected almost areawide today as a cold front crosses the area, bringing with it an increase in winds. Tomorrow, weaker winds and cooler temperatures will result in areas of somewhat weaker mixing, especially across portions of northern and western Utah. Strengthening winds ahead of and with the next cold front will bring a return to widespread excellent mixing on Sunday, then locally weaker mixing is expected again for Monday.
