...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Georgia...

  Withlacoochee River near Quitman (US 84) affecting Brooks and
  Lowndes Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued Saturday afternoon at 245 PM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Withlacoochee River near Quitman (US 84).

* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 106.0 feet, In Lowndes County, the boat ramp at the
  Clyattville Nankin road is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 105.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM EDT Friday was 107.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling to 97.8 feet Wednesday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 104.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    105.5 feet on 01/09/1942.
