...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas, including
  the following counties, in east central Kansas, Geary. In
  northeast Kansas, Pottawatomie and Riley.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 332 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Manhattan, Junction City, Ogden, Grandview Plaza, Milford,
    Keats and Milford Lake.
  - This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 295 and 304.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
