showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in
northwest Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. Thunderstorms
with locally heavy rain were located in Choctaw county in Oklahoma
and Sebastian and Franklin counties in Arkansas. The precipitation
was in the Fort Smith area. Movement was to the east at around 25
mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was around one
quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two to two and a half
inches. Coverage and intensity decreased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for early this morning, cloudy, a chance of
showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 63 to 67 degrees and
southeast winds up to 5 mph.
