At 126 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally south of
I44 in eastern Oklahoma and also in Arkansas west of I49.
Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in Latimer,
Mcintosh and Choctaw counties in Oklahoma. The precipitation was in
the Tulsa and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas. Movement
was to the east at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained
last hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of
an inch and a half to two inches. Coverage increased during the last
hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late tonight, cloudy, a chance of
showers and thunderstorms with slight a chance of showers and
thunderstorms and some thunderstorms may be severe.
