At 826 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain south of I44 and
east of the Muskogee Turnpike, also in Arkansas west of I49 and also
west of a Eufaula to Hugo line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy
rain were located in Adair, Sequoyah and Haskell counties in
Oklahoma. Movement was to the east at around 30 mph. The average
amount where it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch
with maximum amounts of an inch and a half to two inches. Coverage,
and intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late this evening , late this evening and into
overnight, partly cloudy, a chance of thunderstorms. Some
thunderstorms may be severe .
