At 1242 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally south of
I40, also in Arkansas east of I49 and also north of I44 and east of
highway 75. They were most widespread and heaviest in Ottawa county
in Oklahoma and Franklin and Madison counties in Arkansas. Movement
was to the east at around 40 mph. The average amount where it rained
last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum
amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. Coverage and intensity
decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early
this afternoon, mostly cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms
with temperatures 65 to 74 degrees and northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
