At 628 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in
northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were
located in Adair county in Oklahoma and Franklin and Washington
counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Bentonville,
Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the northeast at
around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was one
tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of an inch to
an inch and a half. Coverage and intensity decreased during the last
hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early this evening, mostly cloudy,
a chance of showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 68 to 73
degrees and east winds 5 to 10 mph.
