showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly east of a
line from Bartlesville to McAlester. They were most widespread and
heaviest in Adair and Craig counties in Oklahoma and Crawford county
in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area. Movement
was to the northeast at around 20 mph. The average amount where it
rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with
maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. Coverage and
intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for late this afternoon and early this evening, mostly cloudy,
showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures 70 to 76 degrees
and southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
