At 1242 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally west of a
Bartlesville to McAlester line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy
rain were located in Okfuskee, Creek and Pawnee counties in Oklahoma
and was more widespread in southcentral Oklahoma. Movement was to
the northeast at around 15 mph. The average amount where it rained
last hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of
an inch and a half to two inches. Coverage, and intensity increased
during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for early this
afternoon, mostly cloudy, showers likely and a chance of
thunderstorms with temperatures 74 to 80 degrees and southeast winds
5 to 10 mph.

during the last hour. The Fort Smith area forecast for early this
afternoon, partly sunny, a chance of showers and slight a chance of
