...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN BUTTE AND
SOUTHWESTERN MEADE COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM MDT...

At 624 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles east of Bear Butte State Park, or 14 miles east of Sturgis,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Butte
and southwestern Meade Counties.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 33
and 45.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northwestern and west central South Dakota.
