Severe Thunderstorms: Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will impact the region this evening as a cold front approaches from the west. A few of these thunderstorms could become severe with damaging winds in excess of 60 mph, large hail the size of quarters or larger and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. The risk for severe weather will be highest between 6 PM and 11 PM. Locally heavy rainfall could also result in some minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas, however flash flooding is not expected. These storms could eventually pose a risk to mariners as they move offshore later this evening and overnight. Continue to monitor conditions throughout the day and be prepared to take action should threatening weather approach or if a warning is issued for your location. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
