(Today through Friday) Issued at 417 AM EDT Thu May 30 2024 High pressure continues over the region with dry conditions expected to continue. Will see some increased cloud cover especially across western and southern portions of the area as a very weak wave moves over the region. Northern and eastern portions of the state should see mostly clear skies today. High pressure pushes a bit further into the area Friday clearing things out for North and Central GA. High temps will be mainly in the 70s and 80s Today and Friday. 01 && .LONG TERM... (Friday night through Wednesday) Issued at 417 AM EDT Thu May 30 2024 Highly amplified ridge axis will be pushes east of CWA by Saturday as weak disturbance approaches the CWA. Ensembles have continued the trend of slowing down progression of weak shortwave that will bring rain into the CWA on Saturday into Sunday. Probability of QPF > 0.1" within both GEFS and EPS keep percentages < 20% across all but the western sliver of Georgia until Saturday night, where they slowly begin to tick up into Sunday. Moisture will continue to slowly filter into the area through the rest of the long term allowing for diurnal convection. Models show some hints at weak systems progressing towards the CWA at end of long term, but hard to pinpoint exact timing on any of these. Lusk && .AVIATION...
