Issued at 343 PM CDT Tue May 21 2024 The severe storm threat has pushed east of our coverage area, thus both the tornado and flood watches have been cancelled. There could be lingering spotty showers in the cyclonic flow behind the system that could linger until about 6 to 7 pm. A couple of areal flood warnings remain in effect through 6 pm for those locations that received 3 to 7 inches of rain earlier today. And river flood warnings will continue for the next couple of days. Wednesday looks like a dry, quiet day thankfully. But there are storm chances back in the forecast for Thursday, with a marginal risk of severe storms Thursday night as another strong front moves into the region, when we will have another marginal risk of excessive heavy rainfall. And then we`ll have spotty storm chances in the Memorial Holiday weekend on Friday, Sunday, and Monday, but nothing looks particularly severe at this time. High temperatures behind the front Friday in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Highs Saturday in the lower 70s, in the mid 70s Sunday, and the lower 70s Monday. Overall, a very comfortable period with no temperature extremes. && .AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z THURSDAY/...
