...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL MCLEAN AND NORTH
CENTRAL MERCER COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM CDT...

At 926 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Hazen Bay
Recreation Area, or 12 miles southwest of Garrison, moving northeast
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Garrison, Beulah Bay Recreation Area, Hazen Bay Recreation Area, Fort
Stevenson State Park, Dakota Waters Recreation Area, and Emmet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


If on or near Lake Sakakawea, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
