...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River at Marengo affecting Benton and Iowa Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued by Thursday morning at 1145 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water breaches the mill race dikes near
  Middle Amana.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.8 feet and slowly
    rising.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 16.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 18.2 feet Sunday morning.
    It will then fall early Monday morning. It will then rise
    again, making it to 18.5 feet Tuesday evening. It will then
    fall again but remain above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
