The early season heat wave continues for the rest of the weekend into Monday. Humidity values in the afternoons today through Monday west of the dryline, mainly Val Verde County, will be low into the teens and single digits especially Sunday and Monday. Wind speeds should stay below 12 mph through the period although some brief periods of elevated fire weather conditions will be possible through the weekend. A few storms are possible on Monday afternoon/evening and again Tuesday afternoon/evening. Some of the stronger storms could produce large hail and damaging wind gusts. Slightly less hot weather is expected for the the middle of next week, and there could be some low chances for rain through the rest of the extended forecast period.
