.DISCUSSION...

Good morning! A disturbance moving through Tennessee and north
Georgia on Friday will bring about increasing chances of showers and
thunderstorms throughout the day. Rain chances will start the
morning around 20 percent at 7 AM, increasing to around 40 percent
from 8 AM to noon and further to 50-60 percent during the afternoon.
A chance of thunderstorms will persist through the day in associated
with any precipitation that occurs. The primary hazards with any
thunderstorms that occur will be gusty winds, frequent lightning,
and locally heavy rain. Temperatures will increase to the upper 70s
in the mid to late afternoon hours, and could reach as high as 80
degrees. Prevailing winds will be light and variable to start the
morning, becoming W at 3-5 mph during the afternoon, diminishing to
3 mph or less in the evening.
