A slightly variable wind at the current time will turn southwest by mid-morning. Occasional gusts to 25-30 mph will persist through early afternoon. A sharp wind shift will arrive around 1-2pm this afternoon, with winds turning to the northwest. Wind gusts initially with the wind shift will only be around 20-25 mph, but may jump quickly towards the 35 to 40 mph mark by 3-4pm.
