KEY MESSAGES: - Current system moves out this morning, next system moves in Sunday morning. - Wind gusts to 40 mph are expected today, so a Lake Wind Advisory product is occurring from now through 9PM Saturday. - Unsettled pattern continues with daily rain and thunderstorm chances for this upcoming week WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Trough that brought us yesterday`s thunderstorms and this morning`s rain will move off to the northeast today with brief and fast moving ridging allowing for pleasant, but breezy conditions for the rest of this afternoon. The Lake Wind Advisory will be maintained as it is. Next trough and cold front rotates through on Sunday bringing more scattered showers to the region. The cold air advection behind the front will bring below average temperatures for Monday and Tuesday before a warming trend commences on Wednesday. Overall continued troughing will keep daily shower and thunderstorm chances in the picture throughout most of next week. CONFIDENCE AND POTENTIAL DEVIATIONS FROM BASE FORECAST: High confidence of breezy conditions continuing this afternoon as well as clearing skies. High confidence of cooler and below average temperatures moving in behind the front Sunday and lasting into Tuesday.
