...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Nebraska, including
  the following counties, in central Nebraska, Merrick. In south
  central Nebraska, Hall and Hamilton.

* WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 152 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
    minor flooding in underpasses in and around Grand Island.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Underpasses in and around Grand Island are the most likely
    place to experience minor flooding.
    Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Grand Island, Central City, Wood River, Doniphan, Cairo,
    Alda, Clarks, Phillips, Chapman, Marquette and Hordville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
