...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ROBESON AND
NORTHWESTERN BLADEN COUNTIES THROUGH 545 AM EDT...

At 457 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
St. Pauls, or 9 miles east of Red Springs, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
St. Pauls, Tobermory, Tolarsville, Duart, Jerome, White Oak, Rex,
Rennert, and Tar Heel.

This includes Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 25
and 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
