Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
957 PM EDT Sat May 25 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Atlantic high pressure will continue to extend its axis westward
across the Florida peninsula through Memorial Day, resulting in
prevailing west southwesterly winds during the overnight and
morning hours across our local waters. Sea breezes will develop
during the late morning hours near the coast, resulting in breezy
onshore winds for the near shore waters during the afternoon and
early evening hours. A frontal boundary will enter the
southeastern states on Monday afternoon and will push
southeastward on Monday night and Tuesday, bringing chances for
showers and thunderstorms to our local waters, mainly during the
afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday. This front will likely
stall over the Florida peninsula towards midweek as high pressure
builds southeastward from the Great Lakes states. Onshore winds
will prevail in the wake of this frontal boundary during the mid
to late portions of the upcoming week.
