Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
250 PM CDT Tue May 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Recent rainfall amounts of nearly 1 inch across most of western
and north central Nebraska should help to limit fire weather
concerns over the next few days. A brief dry period is expected
Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, before more showers
and thunderstorms are expected again Thursday afternoon. At this
time, it appears gusty winds on Thursday should mostly be along a
surface boundary colocated with thunderstorms and rain. Rain
chances return again this weekend, though timing and amounts
remain uncertain.
