917 FZUS63 KDTX 241352 GLFLH Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac MI 952 AM EDT Fri May 24 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...Surface high pressure builds in between a low over Quebec, 29.50 inches, and a deeper low, 29.30 inches, over the Upper Midwest. A secondary surface low develops along a cold front late Friday into Saturday which presents an opportunity for thunderstorm development that peaks in coverage Saturday morning. An occluded low, 29.20 inches, then tracks across Wisconsin and into The UP Sunday night and Monday with additional opportunities for showers and thunderstorms. Cooler post-frontal conditions expected for the middle of next week.
