            NWS storm survey determined an EF1 tornado
            touched down in extreme northeastern Monroe
            County during the late evening hours on May
            26th, 2024. The tornado remained on the
            ground for 1.15 miles, crossing very briefly
            into extreme southern Metcalfe County before
            crossing into extreme northwestern
            Cumberland County before lifting. The peak
            estimated wind speeds with this tornado were
            110 mph. Please see the associated Public
