741 FLUS44 KLUB 251635 HWOLUB Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 1135 AM CDT Sat May 25 2024 TXZ021>044-261645- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 1135 AM CDT Sat May 25 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Critical fire weather conditions will develop this afternoon across the far southwestern Texas Panhandle and much of the South Plains. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon today through midnight Sunday for areas along and west of the I-27 corridor. A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is also in effect from noon today through midnight Sunday for the rest of the Caprock. An isolated thunderstorm or two may develop along the dryline this afternoon across the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and eastern Rolling Plains. Any thunderstorm that develops will have the capability of producing large hail up to golf ball size and gusty winds around 60 mph. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Near-critical fire weather conditions will be possible across portions of the far southern Texas Panhandle and South Plains on Sunday. Severe thunderstorms will return to portions of the region each day Tuesday through the end of next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed. $$
