Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
904 PM CDT Sun May 26 2024

.DISCUSSION...

On Monday, 20ft winds decrease but conditions remain extremely
dry with poor morning recovery and another day of near- critical
fire weather is expected for the Guadalupe Mountains and
surrounding plains. Better moisture returns with lower fire
concerns Tuesday and beyond with storms out east which may bring a
lightning threat and gusty and erratic winds.
