The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Hallandale FL out 20 NM...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 422 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Pompano Beach to 10 nm west of Fort Lauderdale
  to 14 nm west of Hollywood, moving east at 15 to 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Port Everglades, Hallandale, Lighthouse
  Point, Sea Ranch Lakes, Hillsboro Beach, Fort Lauderdale,
  Hollywood, Pompano Beach, and Deerfield Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, small hail, high waves, dangerou5s
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
